Melinda Cilento
Joined CEDA as CEO in 2017


Backed by a wealth of leadership experience in major Australian organisations, Melinda Cilento joined CEDA as CEO in 2017.

Today, she is also a non-executive director and Deputy Chair of the Board of Australian Unity, Chair of the Expert Council on University Governance, a member of the Parliamentary Budget Office panel of expert advisors, and the Ministerial Advisory Council on Skilled Migration.


Prior to joining CEDA, Melinda was a Commissioner with the Productivity Commission for three years. She also worked with Australia’s leading CEOs as the Deputy Chief Executive and Chief Economist of the Business Council of Australia. Before this, she served as Head of Economics at Invesco Australia.

Melinda possesses a Master of Economics from Australia National University as well as a Bachelor of Economics (Hons) and a Bachelor of Arts (psychology) from Flinders University. She is also a graduate of the AICD Company Directors course.
