About the Role

Reporting to the Associate Director, this role is responsible for managing a portfolio of member organisations and enabling opportunities for members to contribute to CEDA’s programs, communities, research, and advocacy agenda. You’ll be the primary relationship manager for senior stakeholders across government, business, and academia - ensuring members derive value from their engagement with CEDA and identifying opportunities for deeper collaboration. You’ll also contribute to strategic work, progressing significant projects within the membership and impact team, eg. Supporting the design and delivery of research partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

Membership Engagement

Manage a portfolio of 70-100 member organisations
Retain and grow membership aligned to strategic priorities
Build strong relationships with senior decision-makers
Support sponsorship and event engagement in collaboration with the Programming Team
Support the growth of strategic membership and impact projects, ie. strategic partnerships
Lead discovery workshops and co-design engagement campaigns with CEDA members and partners
Produce high-quality proposals, project assets, and reporting materials
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment of partnership goals with CEDA’s strategic priorities

General Responsibilities

Represent CEDA at roundtables and public events, including as host/MC
Provide strategic advice and support to the Associate Director
Demonstrate and promote CEDA’s values in all interactions

About You

You’re a relationship builder with a strategic mindset and a passion for public policy. You bring:

3+ years’ experience in membership, business development, professional services, or stakeholder engagement
Proven ability to build relationships with senior executives across sectors
Strong coordination skills, eg. project or event management experience
Excellent written and verbal communication, including confident presentation abilities
Financial literacy and experience managing budgets and targets
High proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems
A collaborative, curious, and customer-focused approach
An interest in economic development and public policy
A shared purpose to pursue sustainable, long-term prosperity – for all Australians
