SA Premier the Hon. Jay Weatherill announced the State's top 10 economic priorities to shape the future of the State at a CEDA forum in Adelaide.

Mr Weatherill's announcement follows the release of a report by the Economic Development Board in SA. Mr Weatherill said the State Government's top 10 economic priorities include:

Mr Weatherill's announcement follows the release of a report by the Economic Development Board in South Australia (SA).
On 11 August 2014, the Economic Development Board also released the summary of it's Top 10 Identified Actions for the SA economy as part of the Shaping the Future of SA program.
The program was sparked by a CEDA Trustees meeting in November 2013, where His Excellency Rear Admiral Kevin Scarce, AC CSC RANR called upon CEDA Trustee members to help address the current challenges facing South Australia.
In response, Shaping the Future of SA foundation partners BankSA, CEDA, Flinders University, the SA Department of State Development and KPMG developed a program to help inform decision making.
The Program was designed to deliver actions that can, with appropriate political support and energy, be quickly implemented broadly within the existing resource base.
After consultation with over 2500 people and seven events, the final report was delivered to the Economic Development Board (SA) by the foundation partners, with a summary publically available online.
The report's summary includes the Top 10 identified actions. They are:

Executive Director of The Ethics Centre, Dr Simon Longstaff AO, said at a CEDA livestream event that clear and strong ethical guidelines are vital when making decisions during a crisis. “Leaders have to bring an ethical literacy to bear to explain why they are doing something, not just that they are doing it. Couching decisions explicitly in terms of their values and their principles provides a framework for people to understand the decisions that are being made.”
