CEDA hosted members of the Productivity Commission, Chairman, Michael Brennan, and Commissioners, Romlie Mokak and Natalie Siegel-Brown, to discuss the results of the Closing the Gap Agreement and ways to improve results.
Earlier this month, the 2023 Closing the Gap report was released, which found that whilst outcomes are improving across most 15 target areas, adult imprisonment, children in out-of-home care and suicide rates have increased, and children’s early development outcomes at the beginning of school have declined.
