Adelaide saw the highest inflation of any Australian capital city in March, while housing affordability was a key focus of the South Australian budget, Senior Economist Melissa Wilson told a CEDA event last week.

Challenges and opportunities ahead for the South Australian economy

Speaking at the 2020 Economic and Political Overview event in Adelaide, Premier of South Australia, the Hon. Steven Marshall, spoke openly about the challenges facing the South Australian economy, particularly in regional areas, but said that “South Australians should have great pride in the direction that we are heading.”

Long term lens needed for competitiveness

Outgoing Chairman of Shell Australia, Ann Pickard has told CEDA’s State of the Nation 2013 that “conviction in making hard, long-term decisions” is needed to keep Australia competitive and prosperous into the future.
