In a CEDA report published in July 1986 called Expenditure Management, participants of the Strategic Issues Forum assessed the management of public expenditure in Australia.
The debate around the sustainability of Australia’s budget is hardly new. Expenditure Management highlights concerns around the level of government expenditure and the impact of budget deficits on economic activity.
