CEDA is pleased to announce that new WA State Director Liz Ritchie has officially started in her new position today.
Ms Ritchie has been with CEDA for more than four years and was formerly the CEDA Associate Director for Victoria and Tasmania. She replaces former WA state director Susan Fleming.
CEDA Chief Executive, Professor the Hon. Stephen Martin, said Ms Ritchie's experience and understanding of CEDA would mean she could hit the ground running.
"Issues in WA are critical to national policy debate and Australia's economic prosperity," he said.
"The appointment of Ms Ritchie, and additional staffing recourses currently being recruited for WA, is recognition by CEDA of the importance of WA in CEDA's work as one of Australia's top economic thought leadership organisations."
Ms Ritchie said she was excited about getting to know the WA business community and hearing how CEDA could facilitate discussion and debate on key topics of importance or interest.
"This is an exciting time to be relocating to WA and I am looking forward to meeting with as many people as possible in the coming months to ensure CEDA delivers a full and topical forums and event schedule for 2012," she said.
"I also want to thank the Victorian CEDA trustees and members for their support over the last four years and I look forward to continuing relationships with their colleagues in the west."
CEDA Chief Executive, Melinda Cilento has been announced as a member for a Parliamentary Budget Office expert panel.
