CEDA welcomes back Professor Göran Roos for a second discussion in 2018 as he continues the conversation around strategic ideas for the growth of manufacturing in South Australia.

Event overview

Göran is one of the founders of modern intellectual capital science and a recognised world expert in this field, as well as a major contributor to the thinking and practice in the areas of strategy and innovation management as well as industrial and innovation policy.

Göran was named one of the 13 most influential thinkers for the 21st Century by the Spanish business journal Direccion y Progreso and was appointed Manufacturing for the Future Thinker in Residence by the South Australian Premier for the year 2011 and an appointed member of the Prime Minister’s Manufacturing Leaders Group 2012-13.

Professor Göran Roos
Director, Global Centre for Modern Ageing

Professor Göran Roos is a Director of the Global Centre for Modern Ageing, METS Ignited Australia Limited’s Innovation Advisory Council (MIAC), an Invited Chair of CSIRO Manufacturing Business Unit Advisory Committee and a strategic Advisor to Defence SA and the Defence SA Advisory Board. He is a Stretton Fellow appointed by the City of Playford at University of Adelaide; Adjunct Professor at University of Technology Sydney Business School and Visiting Professor at Tongji University, Shanghai. Göran is a fellow of the Australian Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering (ATSE) and of the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences (IVA). Göran was previously a member of the Economic Development Board of South Australia, the advisory board for Investment Attraction South Australia and Chair of the Advanced Manufacturing Council.
