CEDA is delighted to welcome Water Corporation Chair and Eco Lifestyle Villages Co-Founder, Mike Hollett, to share his learnings on the importance of long-term vision and cohesive planning in the development of local infrastructure.

Speakers

Mike Hollett, Co Founder, Eco Lifestyle Villages

Event overview

Infrastructure is critical to the economic development and liveability of any local municipality, but with increasing pressure to deliver more value from infrastructure investments, cohesive planning and bigger picture thinking takes on even greater importance.

The Shire of Serpentine-Jarrahdale is the nation’s fastest growing local council, with a 51 per cent population increase since 2011.  The proactive approach of the Shire to target the development opportunities that align with their vision and plan has attracted Mike to engage with them for a potential development.

As the local population continues to grow at a rapid rate a long term infrastructure and development plan that covers local and private investment, as well as catering for various existing and future demographics, will ensure the future success of the region.

As Water Corporation Chair and Eco Lifestyle Villages Co-Founder, Mike can provide a unique perspective across both the public and private sector.  Mike will draw on his experience to address CEDA Trustees on bringing all stakeholders together to map out a cohesive plan that ensures infrastructure is built to a long term vision, and the surrounding region can make best use of the investment.

This briefing is by invitation only to CEDA Trustees. Trustees are senior leaders nominated by CEDA member organisations. At CEDA boardroom briefings Trustees hear from an informed, expert guest speaker in a private, small group setting. Invitations to boardroom briefings are a valued benefit of CEDA membership. Chatham House Rule applies.
