This year has seen CEDA WA continue to drive robust economic and public policy discussion through the delivery of almost 70 public and trustee-only events, including our first 1000+ person event – the State Budget Breakfast.

This briefing is by invitation only to CEDA Trustees. Trustees are senior leaders nominated by CEDA member organisations. Meet the keynote speaker

John Langoulant AO
State President, CEDA WA

Mr John Langoulant has extensive experience leading private, public and not for profit entities. This includes being Chief Executive Officer with Mitsubishi Development Pty Ltd, Chief Executive Officer with Australian Capital Equity, Chief Executive Officer of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Western Australia and in the role of Western Australia’s Under Treasurer.

John is Chairman of the Board of the Dampier to Bunbury Natural Gas Pipeline. This pipeline supplies gas to industry throughout the Pilbara and the southern and eastern areas of Western Australia. It also develops new pipelines as has occurred for Fortescue Metals Group and Chevron in recent years and brings exposure to the issues of emerging renewable energy options and the role of gas in the energy mix.

John currently holds other corporate and not for profit roles including Chairman, Western Australia for the Westpac group, Advisor to the Vice Chancellor Curtin University, Chairman of the Board of the Pawsey Supercomputer Centre, Chairman of the Government Employees Superannuation Board, Chairman Telethon Kids Institute and is a Board member of National Disability Insurance Agency and ARTrinsic Inc.

Mr Langoulant was awarded an AO in 2010 for distinguished service to business and commerce, particularly through leadership and management roles and to the community of Western Australia.
John is open and engaging in his decision making and dealings with others, and provides clarity of direction, engendering confidence and trust amongst those he leads.

In John’s spare time you will find John taking a keen interest in the AFL, or in the arts, enjoying a good red and trying to get on to the country roads.  He is also an avid reader of politics when time allows.
