Meet the speaker

Dominic Scott
Vice President, Government Affairs & Strategy, Asia-Pacific, Cisco

Dominic Scott leads Government Affairs & Strategy for the Asia-Pacific region, reporting directly into Cisco’s Global Senior Vice President for Government Affairs in Washington, DC. In his current role, he continues to explore ways to create closer partnerships between government, business and civil society. In 2011, Dominic created a group within Cisco focusing on CSR and Social Innovation. Initiatives currently underway address issues related to human capital development, entrepreneurship and community empowerment across Asia-Pacific.

Dominic has more than 27 years of Asia-Pacific government and business experience. In addition to 19 years with Cisco, Dominic spent nearly 8 years with the Canadian Foreign Service. His diplomatic postings included Hong Kong, Taipei and shorter-term assignments in Beijing and Shanghai. Outside of Asia-Pacific, Dominic has lived and worked in North America, Europe and the Middle East. Dominic holds a Bachelor of Arts, First Class Honours, in Asian Studies from McGill University in Canada and has completed further studies at Nanjing Normal University in China and the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
