Event overview

Australia's Federation has great strengths but duplication and overlap between different levels of government is resulting in waste and inefficiency. The Federal Government is undertaking a major review of the federation and CEDA is lending its voice to the debate with the release of a major report, A Federation for the 21st Century. This report brings together a range of leading commentators to discuss the inefficiencies of the current Federation and options for how the Federation can be reformed to meet the needs of Australians.

CEDA members and guests will learn about the opportunities to improve the efficiency of government in areas such as:

  • Fiscal imbalances;
  • Infrastructure and transport provision;
  • Health;
  • Education;
  • Regulation; and
  • Taxation.
All guests will receive a complimentary copy of A Federation for the 21st Century.
