The politics of climate change are highly contested in Australia and irrespective of a failure to develop a global consensus on climate change, the international response will impact Australian industry; but to what degree is still in question.

Many of the implications of climate change can be mitigated through effective policy responses. Current indecision and disagreement creates frustration and confusion, but more importantly is adding to the cost.

Questions to be addressed at the WA launch of CEDA's research report, The Economics of Climate Change include:

  • What are the implications of climate change for business and the economy?
  • How should Australia be adapting?
  • What are the outcomes of the Direct Action climate policy in its current form?

All guests will receive a complimentary copy of The Economics of Climate Change.
