Steven Spurr, Chief Executive Officer, Edelman Australia

Event overview

The 2018 Edelman trust report showed trust in Australia continued to decline across all four key institutions: media, business, government and NGOs. This resulted with Australia sitting just four percentage points above the world’s least trusting country, Russia. Trust in media fell to a new all-time-low of 31 per cent, and 60 per cent of Australian's disengaged with news from major organisations.

Steven Spurr will speak to trustees about 2019's results, outlining any continuing trends and what can be done to build back trust.

This briefing is by invitation only to CEDA Trustees. Trustees are senior leaders nominated by CEDA member organisations. At CEDA boardroom briefings Trustees hear from an informed, expert guest speaker in a private, small group setting. Invitations to boardroom briefings are a valued benefit of CEDA membership. Chatham House Rule applies.
