Event overview

Demand for aged care workers is predicted to grow from 360,000 to almost one million by 2050. How do we grow and sustain the workforce to meet future needs?

In November 2017 the Australian Government announced an expert taskforce to develop a wide-ranging workforce strategy, focused on supporting safe, quality aged care for senior Australians. Chaired by Professor John Pollaers, the taskforce is looking at how aged care services are being challenged to re-frame thinking about leadership, organisation of work, skilling, innovation and the practical application of research and technology.

Ahead of the release of the strategy in June, join Professor Pollaers for the latest insights and to help shape and reframe thinking about the aged care workforce.
