Melinda Cilento
Chief Executive, CEDA

Melinda Cilento is an economist, experienced executive and company director. She has served as a Commissioner with the Productivity Commission, in senior roles in Federal Treasury and as Chief Economist and Deputy CEO at the Business Council of Australia.

Meet the panel

Patricia Faulkner AO
Chairman, Jesuit Social Services

Patricia’s career has spanned the most senior levels of both the public and private sectors. She has been a CEO of large and complex government departments and a Partner in a major advisory firm (KPMG). She now has a portfolio of Board and advisory roles, both as Chairman and Member. Patricia was awarded an Order of Australia in June 2008 for her services to the field of Health and Social Policy; and a Centenary Medal in 2002 for services to Public Administration. Patricia was awarded the degree of Doctor of Laws honoris causa by Monash University in September 2013. 

Dr Laura Perry
Associate Professor, School of Education, Murdoch University

Laura conducts research about educational opportunities and inequalities, especially as they appear between schools and communities, and the systems, structures and policies that shape them. She writes in CEDA's report on current issues in Australia's education system and how to guide public policy efforts to improve educational equity. She has expertise about schooling in OECD countries, especially North America and Europe, and cross-national comparative research.

Professor Alison Sheridan
Professor of Management, University of New England Business School

Alison has written extensively on gender and the workplace, and writes in CEDA's latest report on issues and trends in the availability of employment opportunities. She is currently on the executive of the Gender and Diversity in Organizations Division of the US Academy of Management, a Life Fellow of the Australia and New Zealand Academy of Management, and a Principal Fellow of the Higher Educatoin Academy.
