Event overview

To present her first State Budget address, respond to early analysis and answer your budget questions, CEDA welcomes Deputy Premier of Queensland, Treasurer and Minister for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Partnerships, the Hon. Jackie Trad.

As Treasurer, the Hon. Jackie Trad has committed to reduce Queensland’s debt, retain state owned assets and improve front-line service delivery. While forecasters calls are for steady economic growth, the 2018 budget will be presented amidst Productivity Commission proposed changes to the distribution of GST, a pressurised Commonwealth budget and major infrastructure project funding commitments. All will impact the State’s balance sheet with implications across all sectors of the Queensland economy.

Now in its second term the Queensland government’s first budget since re-election will reveal government progress, priorities and forward economic development strategy that will shape the future of Queensland.

Join colleagues, guests and CEDA’s audience of leaders from across sectors and across the State to hear the Treasurer’s annual keynote address, the growth rationale behind the 2018-2019 budget and forecasts for Queensland’s economy.
