Event overview

Contributing $202.9 billion to Australia’s gross domestic product and 1.4 million jobs, the property sector represents one of the strongest drivers of economic growth in Australia.

Yet with property prices in Australia’s largest metropolitan cities falling and concerns about the level of household debt, confidence in the sector may further wane throughout 2019, with the NSW State and federal elections providing additional uncertainty.

With presentations from leading industry figures from across the property sector, this event will provide:

  • A 2019 property market outlook covering the residential, retail, and commercial sectors;
  • Implications from a tightening residential Sydney property market for investors and first-home buyers;
  • Policy settings that enhance supply and drive productivity in the residential property sector; and
  • Collaboration between the public and private sector to provide quality, fit for purpose, social and affordable housing.
