Event overview

Organisations, businesses and communities have for some time had the tools to measure equity and gender diversity and the strategies to address imbalance.

Yet despite efforts and some improvement we still see inequality across a range of key measures and much work remains to be done.  What then are the next steps; what will the landscape of diversity and gender equity be in five years’ time; and what positive implications might improvement have on Australia’s competitiveness and productivity?

This Women in Leadership series event will examine:

  • Accelerating gender equality – progress, barriers, and achieving change;
  • Discrimination faced by different groups of women and the appropriate response;
  • The forward agenda of gender equality under the Australian Human Rights Commission; and
  • The role of workplaces including the public sector, universities as key institutions for setting reform.
