For more than a decade, NSW's economic growth has lagged behind the national average rate. But with the largest and most diversified economic base, a financial AAA credit rating and an unemployment rate below the national average, how will NSW make up the gap?

In this inaugural three-part series, CEDA will examine the important issues facing the self-styled 'Premier State' and the keys to returning to prosperity.

In the first session of the series, the Hon Brad Hazzard MP, Minister for Planning and Infrastructure, will examine infrastructure planning for the immediate and long-term future. Together with an expert panel, a range of issues will be examined, including:

- Political and fiscal approaches to infrastructure investment
- Urban connectivity and giving commuters options
- The role of private investment, accountability and good partnerships
- Managing NSW in a national economy.
