Ian Ferres joins CEDA board

Leading Melbourne business figure Ian Ferres has been appointed a director of CEDA, board chairman Ivan Deveson announced today.

Mr Deveson said Mr Ferres would bring valuable business and financial expertise to the CEDA board.

Mr Ferres replaces retiring director and Victorian State Advisory Council president Jeff Floyd, CEO of Australian Motoring Services and an adjunct professor at Victoria University.

Mr Ferres is Chairman of Treasury Corporation Victoria, a director of Australian Unity, a consultant to TressCox Lawyers Australia and a member of CEDA's Victorian State Advisory Council. His business career has included roles as executive director in charge of investment, asset management and banking for National Mutual, and as Group Managing Director for Australian Unity. He has also been Chair of  Commonwealth Funds Management, Monash Medical Centre and MAB Corp, as well as a director of Hambros Australia, Swiss Re Australia, Amrad and VFMC.
