Lynn Kraus, Accounts and Business Development Leader - Oceania and Managing Partner - Sydney, EY

What does your organisation do?

EY is a global leader in assurance, tax, transaction and advisory services. The insights and quality services we deliver help build trust and confidence in the capital markets and in economies the world over. We develop outstanding leaders who team to deliver on our promises to all of our stakeholders. Our team play a critical role in helping to build a better working world for our people, our clients and our communities.

What is your role with the organisation?

As the Oceania Accounts and Business Development Leader, I am responsible for working with our Oceania Market Segment Leaders to drive revenue growth across the region. I am also the Managing Partner of EY’s Sydney office and, in this role, I am responsible for leading our Sydney team and driving the firm’s go-to-market and client service strategies in Australia’s largest city.

What type of CEDA activities (events/topics/research areas) matter most to you and your company?

EY has supported the CEDA Women in Leadership series for the past five years. This series is particularly important to EY. We believe that gender equity in the workplace is a business imperative. Not only does it enable us to deliver better results for our clients and greater opportunities for our people, it also makes economic sense. There is an undeniable body of evidence that shows companies with higher percentages of women in their leadership teams perform better financially. EY is committed to furthering the debate around this important business issue.

Why is your organisation a member of CEDA?

CEDA provides robust insights and policy perspectives into many of the key economic and social issues affecting Australia today. EY is proud to be a member of CEDA and to be involved in the conversations that help shape the agenda and development of policies around these important topics. Our involvement in CEDA is one of the many ways that we are helping to build a better working world.

What are your organisation's top priorities for the upcoming year?

EY remains committed to building a better working world – for our clients, our people and our communities. We will do this by:
  • Helping our clients improve and grow their businesses, leading to higher living standards and more opportunities for growing the local and global economies;
  • Contributing to the critical functioning of the world’s capital markets;
  • Supporting the growth of entrepreneurs through our Entrepreneur Of The Year and Entrepreneurial Winning Women programs;
  • Being an incubator for developing leaders; and
  • Giving back to the local communities in which we live and work.
