Mr Peter Fairclough is a member of CEDA's State Advisory Council in Western Australia.

Peter Fairclough is the general manager of Policy, Government & Public Affairs for Chevron Australia located in Perth, Western Australia. Peter is responsible for legislative and regulatory advocacy, external and internal communications, community and stakeholder engagement and reputation. He has extensive experience in governmental relations, business development, policy development and advocacy, reputation management and
community engagement.

Peter joined Chevron Corporation in May 2011 from the telecommunications industry, where he held the position of executive director Telstra Country Wide. Peter was responsible for the commercial performance of the business in Western Australia. In addition, he led the development and implementation of the business unit’s brand and reputation strategy and worked with regional communities throughout Western Australia to deliver improved communications infrastructure and services.

Peter's previous roles include group manager Corporate Affairs for Telstra Corporate, manager Government & Public Affairs, WMC and resources and executive officer, Chamber of Minerals and Energy. Peter is an Australian Petroleum Production and Exploration Association Board Member, a Governor of the Australian American Chamber of Commerce and Chairman of the Energy and Resources Policy Committee, a member of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry's Business Policy Forum (WA), the Executive Council of the Chamber of Minerals and Energy (WA), and the Delegates Committee for the Business Council of Australia.
